This Pro-tek no cut frame slider kit is made from acetal plastic for strength and durability. It comes with all steel bolts and mounting hardware along with complete instructions needed for installation.The kit contains two acetal pucks with aluminum shims and steel bolts that clear the fairings by an inch.You do not want a slider to stick out too far or it will cause a bike to flip in a crash by snagging on the ground. You want the puck to either touch down and start to grind off and not catch on anything or if hit hard enough or direct enough to shatter and absorb the initial crash energy. If the slider shatters, grinds off or bends, it did it's job in absorbing the crash energy. You don't want it transferring the energy to other parts of the bike causing more costly damage.The right side puck measures 95mm (3.75") in length and uses a 10mm x 90mm steel bolt. The left side puck measures 76mm (3") in length and uses a 10mm x 110mm steel bolt. Both bolts are countersunk into the pucks.These frame sliders are brand new in original packaging manufactured in the US from Pro-tek, a leading manufacturer in the motorcycle industry now for 25 years.Applications1999-2002 Suzuki SV-650/650SThe frame sliders are to be mounted to your upper engine mount bolts. Before beginning, make sure pinch bolts are tight to prevent any engine movement. The right side puck mounts to the engine bracket under the vin plate. The left side puck mounts to the engine bracket forward of the large through bolt. Remove right side engine mount bolt and install supplied bolt. Repeat process to left side with supplied bolt. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Always torque bolts to factory specifications. Includes: (2) Acetal sliders with aluminum bushings(1) 10mm x 1.25 pitch x 110mm bolt (left side & shorter slider)(1) 10mm x 1.25 pitch x 90mm bolt (right side & longer slider)
